Ntombibuyile Samukele Mazibuko is highly trained and experienced in providing speech therapy services. She is passionate about helping children improve their communication skills and overcome speech and language challenges.
Ntombibuyile has always felt a deep connection to this work, and it began long before her formal training. Growing up, she was inspired by both of her parents, whose compassion and dedication to serving others shaped the person and therapist she would become.
Her father, a respected general practitioner who ran his private practice in Phuthaditjhaba, was well known for his love and care for children. Watching the way he connected with his young patients and the trust families placed in him instilled in her an early appreciation for the impact that compassionate healthcare can have on a child's life.
Alongside this, she would visit an orphanage with her mother, where she first met children who were neurodivergent. Her mother's heart for children was remarkable; she didn't just visit them—she often brought them into the family home.
These early experiences of service, both with her parents and later through outreach initiatives at school, shaped her profoundly. She developed a deep love and passion for children who navigate the world differently.
That passion led her to the University of Pretoria, where she completed a Bachelor of Communication Pathology in Speech-Language Therapy. While every aspect of her training was valuable, her favourite clinical blocks were always those focused on neurodiversity.
After graduating, she completed her community service in Heilbron, a small town in the Free State. There, she worked extensively with children with cerebral palsy and their families, collaborating closely with occupational therapists and psychologists to provide holistic, family-centred care. That experience further solidified her commitment to the field.
She returned to Johannesburg in 2020 and has since worked across both private and government schools, supporting children with diverse communication needs. For Ntombibuyile, helping children find their voice and reach their potential is more than a profession—it is her calling.
